When you are stuck, or worse, locked up inside of yourself by fear and or depression, and you see no way out don’t give up.  Sometimes the answer you come up with is the enemy, Satan putting thoughts in your head and you feel like the only answer is suicide.  I’m here to tell you there is a way out and that way is Jesus Christ!

I know that Jesus is the answer because I was trapped deep in myself at one time.  I thought the only way to stop the fear was to end my life and I prayed to God to let me die.  I remembered how I had always been able to talk to God, but I had never prayed to Jesus.  I decided that it couldn’t hurt and I had difficulty getting his name out because the devil doesn’t want to lose you.  The devil comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, and he wants to kill you because God loves you more than His own death on a cross.  I finally said help me Jesus and the tears that ran down my face were those of a man who had been finally set free.  I was in a jail cell at the time so saying I was free may sound wrong to you, but I no longer had that fear and depression that had plagued me for so many years.

I tried to do anything I could to get out of that fear with alcohol and drugs but all I did was drive the real me further inside me.  I learned in those days I was in prison that I liked the Mike that was real and free.  The Mike that had been buried so deeply in sin that he wasn’t allowed to come out and I was lost for years.  My son Jakob had the same demons I had but unfortunately, he chose to take his own life.  I wasn’t able to get through to him that Jesus could save him from all of his emotions.  I’m here to let anyone know that if they feel locked up there is a way out.

Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the key, and he is waiting at the door of your heart. Waiting for you to scream “Help me Jesus!”.  Then He can come in and run all the devils out of your heart.  Jesus is Light and darkness hates the light and it hates that you are free.  If you remain in Christ, or just keep your eyes on him the darkness cannot get to you.
